| Panthers Party seeks reorganisation of Kashmir | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 23: The Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party, a regional political group in Kashmir, has vowed to launch a struggle for the reorganisation of the state as Jammu region was getting marginalised. Speaking at a convention held Tuesday to mark the 28th foundation day of the party, its chairman Bhim Singh said his party was 'committed to safeguarding the interests of Jammu region' which was 'getting marginalised under Kashmiri domination'. He said to achieve the objective of getting Jammu region its due 'it has become imperative that the state should be reorganised'. Jammu should have its own institutions, including an assembly, he said. The party has three legislators in the state assembly. It has been seeking a fresh delimitation of constituencies, a suggestion rejected by the National Conference-led state government. |
