Jammu, Oct 13 Security forces have launched a manhunt to catch militants who ambushed an operation party of the army and later escaped after a two hour gun battle in the Doda district last night, official sources said.
On specific information, troops launched a search operation in Kote-Kulhand belt in Doda district last night, they said.
The militants, who had taken positions, ambushed them and fired indiscriminately. The forces retaliated and the gun battle continued for 2 hours. But the militants managed to escape from the spot, sources said. |
