Early Times Report JAMMU: The busting of three militant hideouts in the mountain-locked Reasi, Banihal and Doda districts today led security forces to the recovery of 10 kg RDX and a huge quantity of other explosives and arms. Official sources said acting on a tip-off, police and army troops launched searches in Malnad forests of Mahore, Reasi, in the morning. During searches, the troops came across a militant hideout. Its search led them to the recovery of one SLR magazine with 20 rounds, two rounds of Insas rifle , one cartridge, five electric detonators, three grenade shells, 15 grams of RDX powder, four IED circuits, five bandage plasters, 2 mt electric wire and one para-bomb. The hideout was later smashed. Another hideout was destroyed at Dandwar Gad Nullah in Nachlana,Banihal. From there, troops recovered one revolver with three rounds, two AK magazines with 30 rounds and some miscellaneousitems. Ten kilograms of RDX, 600 grams of ammonium sulphate, two UBGL grenades, one detonator and 20 metres of electric wire were recovered from a militant hideout at Baniyala in Doda. This hideout was too smashed by troops. |
