Protesters also burnt the effigy of Deputy Chief Minister for maintaining criminal silence over the issue, which is related to thousands of unemployed youth.
A similar demonstration was held at RS Pura where, hundreds of NSF activists led by Randeep Singh Chib and Ashwani Sharma assembled at Bana Singh Stadium and burnt the effigy of Deputy Chief Minister.
They also raised slogans against the government for its proposed move to ban inter-district recruitment.
The protesting activists warned that agitation would be intensified further if soon a reply is not being given by the government over the whole issue.
At Poonch, a group of NSF activists led by Ansar Akram Khan, district president, gathered at Krishan Chander Park and held a demonstration against proposed ban on inter-district recruitment.
The protesters raised slogans against the Deputy Chief Minister for maintaining silence over the whole matter.
NSF activists also gathered at Surankote Bus Stand and held a similar demonstration.
The group of protesters was led by Nadeem Akhter, Incharge Rajouri-Poonch.
Meanwhile, NSF State President Vikas Sharma has said that leaders of Jammu have failed in safeguarding the rights of Jammu youth especially, the Deputy Chief Minister who has been holding a key position but maintaining silence over such a critical issue.
"It is clear to all that ultimate sufferers of this ban would be youth of SC/ST/OBC categories and why the Deputy Chief Minister, who himself belongs to these underprivileged sections, is silent till date," he asked. |
