JAMMU, Mar 24: KAS Aspirants' Association (KASAA) has condemned the Jammu Kashmir Public Service Commission JKPSC) for faulty paper setting of agriculture paper-I held on March 22 last and alleged that it would ruin the careers of the students having taken Agriculture as their subject. Addressing media persons here today, Association president Mudassar Choudhary alleged that the Paper I of Agriculture for main examination contained questions pertaining to the syllabus of Agriculture Paper II that ruined the entire attempt of the students as the paper amounted to having containing out of syllabus questions of nearly 210 marks. He further said that all the centers where the paper was conducted, the candidates raised the issue and asked the invigilators to report the issue to the PSC, who on receiving the instruction from PSC asked the candidates to take the examination or face disqualification. "However, the candidates of centre at Government Polytechnic (Boys) boycotted the exam and went to the PSC office to communicate their grievance and also presented a representation to the PSC officials for cancellation of the said exam and to hold the exam fresh," said KASAA president. Choudhary said that such anomalous paper setting has put the career of hundreds of students in jeopardy and has appealed to the PSC to immediately resolve the issue by conducting the exams fresh. The Controller Examination PSC Ghulam Hassan Mir when contacted assured about taking the issue in earnest and settle the dispute as soon as possible.
"Their plea is under consideration and in a best possible way would be found out soon to get the issue resolved, " said Mir adding that an official notice would be advertised soon in this regard and fresh dates of the exam would be announced shortly after the ongoing exams."
