| Slathia for comprehensive housing policy for slum dwellers | | |

JAMMU, Mar 24: Minister for Industries and Commerce, SS Slathia today distributed cheques amounting to Rs 25 lakh among the beneficiaries of Vijaypur under Indira Awas Yojana (IAY) and Integrated Housing Slum Development Programme (IHSDP) at a function organized today. Speaking on the occasion, Minister reiterated government's commitment to improve the lot of weaker and downtrodden sections of the society. He said the government endeavour to improve the living standard of slum dwellers; a comprehensive housing policy has been formulated to provide them hygienic dwelling units.
Minister distributed relief cheques among 104 beneficiaries on the occasion.
A large number of people and concerned officers of Housing, Urban Development, Rural Development besides Industries and Commerce Departments were present on the occasion. |
