JAMMU, Mar 24: Former State BJP President and Jammu East MLA Ashok Khajuria along with party's Jammu District President Rajesh Gupta today visited Peer Mitha and got initiated the work of laying of tiles in one of the lane of the area. An amount of Rs 1.28 lakh has been released by the MLA from his Constituency Development Fund for the purpose. Ashok Khajuria also interacted with the members of the Bazaar association and a number of local residents and sought their suggestions for making the Peer Mitha area as more developed equipped with all the facilities like electricity, drinking water, proper sewerage, timely cleanliness of lanes and drains as also availability of ration in government depots.
It was pointed out by majority of the people that the summers have set up too early and in the coming days there will be need of round the clock supply of electricity and regular supply of drinking water. They asked the MLA to take up the matter with the concerned authorities so that public is not made to suffer in scorching summers.
After giving a patient hearing to the people's grievances, Khajuria said that the public of Jammu east have returned him to the assembly with some expectations and he will try his level best to fulfil the same. |
