Jammu, Mar 24: Lambasting State Government for adopting casual approach towards woes of the common masses, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) today vowed to expose misdeeds of National Conference led coalition in the State. Meanwhile, PDP has decided to hold block level meetings in different parts of Jammu region to educate the masses about anti-people policies of this government.
Addressing a meeting of senior party leaders, which was convened by district president Suram Singh, PDP vice president and former Rajya Sabha member Trilok Singh Bajwa regretted that instead of addressing problems of the people, this regime was trying to deceive the people by making false promises. He said that during the last 15 months this government has not taken even a single step to heed woes of the common masses. Every sections of the society, be it farmers, students, employees, technocrats or unemployment youth, is on war path as this regime has only hoodwinked the people by making false promises. Bajwa especially mentioned recent statements of NC leaders Rajouri in which they have promised to recruit 8th pass youth in police.
"Only noticeable achievement of the 15 months period of this coalition regime is the press statements and photo sessions of Chief Minister and his cabinet colleagues", he said and regretted that problems of the common masses have been increasing but the government was not serious about these ever increasing woes of the commoners.
Exhorting the party workers to expose mis-deeds of this regime, Singh observed that the present NC regime has not learnt any lessons from the past mistake. "From 1996 to 2002, the then NC had committed blunders which led to total chaos in the State.", he reminded.
Among others who addressed the meeting included Ved Mahajan, Daman Bhasin, A K Sawhney, Shanti Devi, Falail Singh, Vijay Dogra, R K Bali, Rashid Malik, H R Chargotra, Ashiq Hussain, Baldev Singh Pappa, B D Gorkha, Chatter Saini, Hussain Ali, Nadeem Khan, Jagjit Singh Jaggi Rashpal Billowaria, Ajay Sharma, and others. |
