| Panthers release 15-point resolution, demands reorganisation of J-K | | |

Jammu, Mar 24: On the 27th foundation anniversary celebrations, the JKNPP today released 15-point resolution at Parade Ground, Jammu. The resolution called for reorganisation of J&K state on the basis of, linguistic and geographical identity of each region; Ladakh, Kashmir and Jammu.
In a resolution, the party condemned the Congress and National Conference for not holding Delimitation of the Assembly and Parliamentary Constituenci-es. They decided to launch Samul Kranti (strong movement) to expose, oppose and depose the State Govt. for not conducting Delimitations in the State and increasing seats at the ratio of 50 : 50. A resolution was also adopted urging the State Governor N.N. Vohra to appoint a Commission of Enquiry to probe into the assets of all legislators, ministers, bureaucrats in J&K and their benami properties.
The resolution said that regional assemblies with independent political, financial status, independent Planning Commission, Public Service Commission and Recruitment Board should be set up. In the resolution, the JKNPP leader urged Prime Minister to persuade Pakistan through diplomacy, dialogue or war to stop sending terrorists to J&K and resolve the status of LoC for good so that the Indian citizens living in POK and Gilgit should find their future which has remained uncertain due to Pakistan occupation for 62 years. They also demanded referendum in POK and Gilgit-Baltistan and withdrawal of the so-called Gilgit Reform Ordinance which violates the UN Resolution of August 13, 1948. This Ordinance is an attempt to convert Pak occupation from defacto to de jure. A resolution also expressed solidarity with the striking employees and those unemployed youth protesting on the roads for the redressal of their grievances. It further demanded renewal of ration cards w.e.f. 2001 without any delay and work permit with work and wages under Central Schemes without delay. It demanded 10 kgs of ration to every soul a month in the drought hit areas.
In another resolution, the Panthers Party demanded uniform syllabus for all students in the schools and free education for all.
The Panthers Party in its resolution called on United Nations to implement its resolutions on Jerusalem (Palestine), Iraq. Rwanda (Africa) and ensure withdrawal of all foreign troops from Iraq, Palestine and Afghanistan. The Panthers Party also demanded General Amnesty to all the political prisoners of Jammu and Kashmir who have no serious case of heinous crime registered against them. Prof. Bhim Singh also announced a high policy making meeting body under the Working Chairman, Shri Harsh Dev Singh with all the Legislators and both Provincial Presidents.
Later, on the occasion provincial President Shri Faqir Nath, ex-MLA presented a thorny garland to Prof. Bhim Singh publicly. He declared amidst applaud that Prof. Bhim Singh has completed his most daring journey for 50 years on thorns. Meanwhile, the JKNPP has appealed to the youth and students to join Samul Kranti, Inqalab-i-Akhir, to seek justice for the poor and the suffering masses. Prof. Bhim Singh had introduced this concept of Samul Kranti in 1975 in response to the call for total revolution of Shri Jaiprakash Narain. |
