| Truck scanners recommended for cross-LoC trade points | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 24: To ensure that only "listed" goods enter the state from the cross-Line of Control (LoC) trade points, the government has recommended procurement and installation of whole body truck scanners at two trade points in the state. "In order to ensure that goods coming into Jammu and Kashmir from Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK) are properly checked, the government has recommended to the Centre to procure and install two such scanners," Industries Minister S S Slathia said in an official release. The two scanners would be installed at Slamabad trans-LoC point in Baramulla district of Kashmir valley and Chakan-da-Bagh point in Poonch district of Jammu region.The scanner costing Rs 40.27 cr would be installed at Slamabad, while the cost of the scanner to be installed at Chakan-da-Bagh would be Rs 35.33 cr. |
