| AJABM protests inter-district recruitment ban | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 25: Anus-uchit Jati Arakshan Bachao Manch (AJABM) activists today held demonstrations against the state government at several pla-ces across Jammu province to protest against proposed Bill, which is being brought in current legislative session, seeking ban on Inter-District Recru-itments. Spokesperson of the Manch and former MLA Bali Bhagat disclosed that AJABM activists blocked National Highway besides other roads, raised anti-government slogans and burnt effigies at more than 50 places across Jammu region. Largely attended programmes were held at Krishna Nagar, Exchange Road, High Court road Gummat Bazaar and Gangyal in Jammu city besides in its peripheries at Bishnah, RS Pura, Karyal, Arnia, Vijaypur (Nandpur) and Miran Sahib, he added Other protest demonstrations were held at Nows-hera, Sunderbani, Rajouri, Kalakot, Udhampur and Chenani. Describing the bill as anti reserved categories and against constitution, Bhagat said that similar protest demonstrations will be held tomorrow and day after at other places to intensify the agitation. AJABM appealed to the United Progressive Alliance (UPA) chairperson Sonia Gandhi not to be misled by J&K Chief Minister, Omar Abdulah and direct the state government to drop this anti reserved categories bill.
