CRPF organises medical checkup camp

KATHUA, Mar 25: A camp was organised by 121 Bn of Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) in collaboration with non governmental organizations- SPEAK, SPARSH and Nehru Yuva Kendra organised a camp where in drug addicts were medically examined free of cost at Mahatma Gandhi Hospital Kathua. On the occasion, Dr Hardev Gupta, Dr Mukul Ubbot Dr Rajesh Chopra (CRPF) conducted the examination of the patients. Earlier, the programme was inaugurated by chief guest SSP Kathua Garib Das. Speaking on the occasion, Garib Das appreciated the initiative of the 121 Bn along with some non governmental organizations to root out the menace of drug addiction among the youth by holding such kind of awareness programmes as well as camps while he was addressing the gathering on the occasion. He stated that the entire world is going to be hunted by the growing fashion of using drugs among the young generation which has created a major threat before the nation and its direct impacts also seen in the district Kathua also, the big smugglers, drug mafia and others are targeting our innocent youth as their permanent consumers if the youth is not healthy then it is sure the destruction of our country and anarchy and immoral society would be emerged. In this concern the police is also serious to overcome the menace and it is also appealed to all the intellectuals, social workers and NGOs to come forward to fight with this life consuming drugs addiction culture to save the youth and make a better tomorrow. On the occasion the almost 10 drugs addicted patients were checked and the Comma-ndant-121 BN Sh. Pukh Raj Jaipaul and 2-1/c-121BN officer Sh V.K Tiwari said that this camp has been started from 25 march to 31 march and the time for checking the patient from 10 AM To 2pm.
In this inaugural programme the prominent citizens Sh. I.D Khajuria, Sh Naresh Sharma, S.Manohar Singh, Incharge of SPEAK, Sh. Sunil (Monu) and Incharge of SPERSH Sh. Manuj Kesar were present.
