| Deputations across valley calls on Mufti | | | Srinagar July 24: A large number of people from Vilgam (Kupwara), Salar (Pahalgam), Rajpura (Pulwama), Nowshera(Srinagar), Puchan (Pulwama) and other distant areas of the valley called on PDP Patron and former Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed here today. The deputation of Rajpur was led by MLA Syed Bashir Ahmed.
The deputations apprised the PDP Patron about the problems confronting them with regard to inadequate water supply, dilapidated condition of trunk and link routes in these areas. They also projected their demand for considering the centrally located places for creation of new tehsils, sub-divisions as also constituencies by the delimitation commission adding that the norms to be adopted for the purpose should be so uniform that would ensure proper and justified rationalization.
Responding to their demands, Mufti Mohammad Sayeed said that the coalition government is committed for equitable and balanced development of all the regions of the state and all out measures are being taken to provide administrative justice with all the regions and sub-regions of the state. He said the coalition government would also follow the same parameters for providing justice to the people.
He said it is the prime duty of state government to provide all basic facilities to the people and the coalition government which is committed and guided for the same under common minimum programme does not consider its performance as any favour to the people.
Giving patient hearing to the deputations, Mufti Sayeed assured people that their problems would be taken up with the concerned authorities so that these are given vent on priority basis.
