JAMMU, March 25: Jammu and Kashmir excelled in the recently held junior and senior national bench press championships at Jamshedpur winning 15 medals in men and women sections. On the basis of their performance, Preet Dutta and Harish Kumar have been selected for the Asian Bench Press Championship scheduled to be held at Phillipines in August, a handout issued here today informed. Meanwhile, president of the Association, Parvez Malik, secretary, Lalita Devi and vice-president, Rajiv Charak congratulated the lifters for excelling at the national level. The Medal Winners: Shashi Pal (gold), Rakesh Kumar (silver), Anjeel Sharma (gold), Anshuman Sharma (bronze), Jaikaran (silver), Varun Singh (bronze), Karnail Singh (gold), Rahul Sawhney (silver), Sunita Verma (bronze), Needhi (gold), Bharti Mahajan (gold), Renu Sharma (bronze), Mamta Sharma (bronze), Simita Devi (silver) and Vishwal Gupta (gold).
