| Khoda chairs Police Housing Corp. BODs meeting | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 26: Director General of Police, (DGP), Kuldeep Khoda has stressed upon the members of Board of Directors (BODs) of J&K Police Housing Corporation to give thrust for creating more building infrastructure to provide better living facilities to the jawanas and officers of the force across the State. The DGP, who is also the Chairman of BODs was speaking at a meeting of Board of Directors of J&K Police Housing Corporation held under his Chairmanship here this evening. The meeting held threadbare discussion with regard to develop more infrastructure for residential as well as police offices in the State and availability of funds thereof. The Managing Director, Police Housing Corporation, Ravinder Kotwal gave detailed resume of the achievements registered by the Corporation during the year 2009-2010. He also informed the meeting about the audit completed by Office of the Accountant General J&K. The budget estimates for the financial year (2010-2011) for the Police Housing Corporation were thoroughly discussed and later approved in the meeting. Balance Sheet for the year 2001-2002 was also discussed for adoption and it was decided by the meeting to send the balance sheet to CAG for comments. The Board also approved reduction of agency charges in some works so as to meet the additional cost without demanding additional funds from the Ministry of Home Affairs. Among others, the meeting was also attended by the Inspector General of Police, Jammu Zone, Ashok Gupta, Secretary Home Department, Tashi Doorjee, Chief Engineer (R&B), Jammu, D. L. Sharma and Additional Secretary, Finance Department, Mushstaq Ahmed Siddiqi.
