| Seven soldiers wounded in terrorist attacks | | | Srinagar, October 13 Seven soldiers were wounded on Friday when their convoy was attacked by terroriosts in Baramulla district.
Police said militants ambushed the Indian Army convoy on the Uri-Srinagar national highway at Kansipora village, seven km from Baramulla town, with automatic rifles and grenades.
"Seven army troopers were wounded in the attack, one of them critically. The injured have been evacuated for treatment and the entire area has been cordoned off," said a senior police officer.
Top army and police officers rushed to the spot to supervise the evacuation of the injured troopers and to mount searches in the area.
The convoy was on its way to Srinagar. |
