Demand of Grants for Revenue Deptt: Lively debate in LA

Jammu, Mar 26: Participating in the debate on Demand of Grants for Revenue and Relief Departments, Nizam-ud-Din Bhat called for digitalization of revenue records, besides re-organization of the department and improvement in the State land reforms.
He also urged for completion of settlement of land records and review of re-habilitation policy for registered migrants.
Jugal Kishore Sharma called for re-habilitating the refugees of POK by providing Rs.25 lakh per family as compensation. He also urged for issuance of revenue pass books to the farmers, besides publishing revenue records in Hindi language. Abdul Majid Wani urged for filling up of the vacant posts in the department and suggested for the delimitation and bifurcation of revenue villages.
Mohammad Ashraf demanded rent and compensation of the land, occupied by the security forces, besides relocation of forces from the Rest House Watlab. He also urged Tehsil status for Zainakote.
B.S. Mankotia demanded compensation for the land acquired for widening of National Highway besides compensation for migrants of Jammu division.
Ashwani Kumar urged for rehabilitation of refugees from West Pakistan, besides compensation to the land owners, whose land has come under border fencing in Bishnah Constituency.
Abdul Haq Khan urged for digitalization of land records, besides reorganization of revenue villages. He suggested establishment of Patwar Khana in his Constituency and demanded compensation to draught and hailstorm hit villages of Lolab Constituency.
Sukhnandan demanded for expeditious completion of settlement process in Marh besides conferring ownership rights to those who were allotted land during 1971 and 1965.
G.A. Mir sought Sub Division status for Doru besides reorganization of revenue villages. He also demanded uniform compensation to those whose houses get damaged in fire incidents. Harshdev Singh urged for development of infrastructure and creating of posts for newly created administrative units. He urged rehabilitation of POK refugees and migrants of Jammu division. He also demanded time limit for issuing of RBA and PRC certificates.
Choudhary Mohammad Aslam stressed for computerization of land records to facilitate the people in getting their grievances redressed.
Chaman Lal Gupta advocated for release of free ration to the areas declared drought hit. He also urged for rehabilitation of POK refugees as per directions of Supreme Court.
M.Y. Tarigami advocated for rationalization of administrative units. He suggested constitution of House Committee on the working of Revenue Department besides ensuring accountability in the department. He also urged for enhancement of honorarium for Numberdars and Chowkidars.
Krishan Chander demanded Tehsil status for Panchari and Dudu. He also urged free ration for drought hit areas of Chenani.
Peer Mansoor Hussain advocated for construction of Tehsil office at Shangus. He demanded establishment of revenue villages at Branagam, Panchalthan and Buchan. Charanjit Singh suggested decentralization of powers to facilitate the people living in remote areas. He also called for finalization of pending cases under Roshni Act. Rafi Ahmed Mir sought compensation for the land acquired under Pahalgam Golf Course and Khanabal-Pahalgam Road. He also demanded Patwar Khana and adequate number of Patwaries in Anantnag district. Vikar Rasool advocated for Sub District status to Banihal and Tehsil status to Batote. He also demanded free ration for drought hit areas of Banihal.
