EARLY TIMES REPORT
Jammu, Mar 27: Mohammad Latif Qureshi, President, All J&K Revenue Employees Association, has hailed the decision of the Government to introduce the e-governance system in Revenue Department under which 256 Niabats are being covered in the first instance. Appreciating the step taken by the Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation, Latif said that though this is a welcome step yet it is necessary to bring all offices of Revenue Department under this scheme so that the efficiency in disposal of the work is brought a propos, in order to facilitate the common masses . Besides this, it is also need of the hour to strengthen the Revenue administration from top to bottom, for which a detailed proposal has already been mooted by the Revenue Association. Meanwhile, Latif urged the Government to take up construction of new building for Divisional Commissioner's office at Rail Head, Jammu on war-footing because the building in which the office of Divisional Commissioner, Jammu is located, has already been declared unsafe.
