| 5-day digital photography workshop conclude | | | Early Times Repot Jammu, Mar 27: A five day digital photography workshop inaugurated jointly by Fr. Thomas, Lalita Nanda is attended by 30 children drawn from rural, boarder and backward areas of the region. Rajinder Wadhwa, HOD Photography unit national bal bhavan New Delhi and Sanjay are the resource persons for this. The first day started with registration, prayer and self introduction and thereafter the session started with the history of photography in India. Focusing, angle, difference between the negative format, types of lenses, types of light, types of camera, distancing and effects of light were explained to the children. A practical session in which the children were asked to click portraits in outdoor light after the editing on computer and then printing on digital process. An interaction of the participants with press photographers has been organized to give a field and a practical exposure to them in case the children decide to adopt this as a vocation in life or may be purse it as a good hobby for photo feature agencies and be either photo journalists in mass communications. The workshop came to its conclusion today with valedictory function which was attended by the parents of the participants and other dignitaries from different walks of life.
