| AHD organizes fertility awareness camp | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, Mar 27: A day long fertility awareness camp for the local farmers was organized by the department of animal husbandry (AH) at village chandok, tehsil Haveli in district Poonch the other day.
In the camp which was inaugurated by Dr. SS Raina chief animal husbandry officer was attended by large number of progressive farmers. In the camp over 200 cattles with various problems were treated and also free medicines was given to farmers.
Superintendent district Vety. Hospital Poonch Dr. Mohd Ismyl and Dr Mohd Hanief Khatana and Dr. Alaf Din block vety, Officer Poonh and Surankote delivered lecturers on various aspects of dairy and poultry farming and technical aspects of infertility problems.
They also imparted awareness to the farming community about breeding, feeling and management and different schemes launched by the department.
Speaking on the occasion Dr. SS Raina made the farmers particularly the unemployed youth of the area aware to adopt dairy and poultry farming as a source of income for uplift of their socio-economic status.
