| BJP, JKNPP create ruckus | | Class IV employees' issue | | ET REPORT JAMMU, Mar 27: Jammu based Opposition parties comprising Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), Jammu and Kashmir National Panthers Party (JKNPP) and Jammu State Morcha (JSM) today stirred uproar in the Legislative Assembly over the issue of appointment of Class IV employees. Raising the issue soon after the Question Hour, Balwant Singh Mankotia, JKNPP MLA from Udhampur said, "Some of the candidates in Kathua district got appointment orders few days back. The appointment was being made as per the government's recruitment notice of 2007. When these candidates approached the department concerned, the authorities refused to appoint them saying no such appointment were being made." "This is a serious issue and it is the concern over entire House. The government should constitute a two to three members House Committee to probe the issue," Mankotia demanded. While the issue was simultaneously being raised with the PDP's demand of restoration of security cover of former MLA, the House witnessed complete din and chaos. Jagdish Raj Sapolia, BJP MLA also demanded constitution of House Committee. Taking cognizance of the matter, the Speaker asked the Minister for Law and Parliamentary Affair, Ali Mohammad Sagar to examine it. While the BJP and JKNPP sought assurance from the Minister, Sagar said, "I will look into the matter and I will definitely redress your grievances."
