| Christians take out procession Palm Sunday | | |
Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 28: A peace procession was taken out in Jammu City on Sunday by the Jammu and Kashmir Joint Churchers Fellowship in which different Churches of Jammu City participated. The procession was taken out in connection with Good Friday and Easter celebration. Good Friday is the day on which Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross and on the third day comes the Easter Sunday on which Jesus Christ rose again from the dead. The Churches of Jammu City which took part in the procession include St. Paul Church, Church of God full Gospel, Church of God Evangelical Fellowship, Indian National Evangellical Church, the Bethel Church Jammu and Bethseda Pentecostal Church. The Choirs of different churches were a great blessings in the procession the various miracles performed by Jesus Christ were depicted on flex banners. Like Christmas, Good Friday and Easter Sunday have great importance in Christianity and are celebrated with great fervour throughout the world. This procession was taken out before Good Friday which is called palm Sunday, when Jesus Christ entered in Jerusalem city, and was welcomed by the masses and stretched their clothes on the way and waving the palm tree branches they welcome him saying 'Blessed is the king who comes in the name of God'. Organizers of the procession wished all the Christians of Jammu and Kashmir, India and the whole world a happy Easter and prayed that God almighty may have mercy on the world and given peace and harmony in the world.
