Jammu, 28: Cancer is no longer a dreaded diseases. One third of cancers can be prevented by adopting healthy life styles and 40-50% cancers can be completely cured by early detection and prompt treatment at NABH accredited exclusive cancer hospitals stated
Dr. S. Khanna Exclutive Director of the hospital during a CME program organized at Hotel Asia last night by Dharmshila Hospital and Research Centre, Delhi and attended by top doctors and honorable citizens of Jammu,
Speaking on the occasion Dr. Khanna explained that Dharamshila Hospital provides state of the art technology for early diagnosis, cancer surgery, radiation , chemotherapy , rehabilitation , palliative and supportive care. The hospital has organ specific teams of skilled and competent oncologists nursing professional and paramedical staff who deliver high quality care as per international standards based on evidence based Medicine She said that each and every cancer patient at Dharamshila Hospital and research Centre is evaluated by a team of surgical oncologists, Radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, gyne oncologist , oncopathologists ,radiologists imaging specialists and other concerned allied specialists to chart out a custom made treatment plan as per patient's specific needs. This ensured that patient gets the desired modality/Modalities of treatment and there is no scope of mismanaging the patients. She solicited the help of medical fraternity of Jammu to help in improving the cure rates by early detection and early referral of cancer patients.
