| People's corporation must for all round development: Slathia | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 28: Minister for Industries and Commerce, Surjit Singh Slathia has said that Government is endeavouring for making Jammu and Kashmir a model State, adding that various innovative initiatives have been taken to revolutionize the all round development of all the regions of the State. Addressing a mammoth public gathering at village Dugh Channi, Vijaypur, the Minister appealed the people to strengthen the hands of the Government by participating at large scale in forthcoming paychayat elections. He asked the people to elect honest and dedicated representatives who redress their development needs, besides espouse their cases at different levels of the administration. Slathia said that the Government is already alive of the problems confronting to the people. He said Government endeavouring for all round development of the State adding that providing of better road connectivity, upgradation of health care, education, drinking water facilities in urban and rural areas is the priority of the Government. The Minister said that Government is committed to fulfil the aspirations of the people, adding that a massive developmental plan has been initiated across the State to address the development needs of the people under various sectors. Responding to the demands of the locals, the Minister assured that a transformer will be installed to stabilise the power supply in the area. He said two tube wells would also be installed in the area and assured that the pension cases of all deserved persons under various social welfare schemes would be settled at the earliest. With regard to the upgradation of the Baba Chamliyal road, the Minister assured that this would be given priority in view of the importance of the place. He also said that construction of a Panchayat Ghar would be taken up shortly. He said that survey of BPL families of the area is under process. He said that repairs and renovations of lanes and drains of the area would also be taken up.
