| Pak intruder shot dead | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 28: Foiling an infiltration bid, BSF personnel shot dead a suspected militant guide of Pakistan on the International Border (IB) in Ramgarh sub-sector near here late Saturday night. A BSF spokesman said a patrol of 72 Bn of BSF picked up the movement of two Pakistani intruders on the IB close to the Nanga border outpost in Ramgarh at about 10.15 pm. While one stayed back on the IB, the other started walking into the Indian territory towards the barbed wire fencing. When he reached the firing range, the patrol party asked him to stop. The spokesman said when he ran towards the border, the troops opened fire, killing him on the spot. Hearing the gunshot, the other intruder hurriedly retreated into the Pak territory. The spokesman said the killed intruder seemed to be a militant guide, who had come to this side of the IB to recce the area. The spokesman said during a flag meeting with the Pak Rangers today, the latter refused to accept the body. The body was later handed over to police for last rites. The Ramgarh police had also registered a case in this connection.
