| 2 blasts rock LoC in Poonch | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 28: Two powerful explosions, said to be caused by improvised explosive devices (IEDs), today rocked the Line of Control (LoC) in Balakote and Mendhar sub-sectors of Poonch. There was, however, no loss of life or damage to property in the blasts, police sources said. Sources said one blast occured at Dabi near the LoC in Balakote and the other near Abbas Post in Mendhar, the sources added. Sources said the blasts were triggered by militants to target army patrols and their convoys, but the IEDs exploded at a time when there was no one in their close vicinity. Army troops conducted searches in the area after the blasts and also questioned some locals, but they could not provide any clue to the identity of those who had planted the IEDs.
