HC directs CAPD to file affidavit in alleged discriminatory upgradation

Jammu, Mar: 29 Justice JP Singh of J&K High Court, in a writ petition filed by the employees of CAPD Jammu division alleging discrimination with employees regarding up-gradation of, has issued notice to the respondents. After hearing Adv SK Shukla appearing for the petitioners directed Secretary to Consumers Affairs & Public Distribution Department to file an affidavit indicating the steps taken by the State Govt on the recommendations of the committee for up-gradation of posts in the grade of 3050-4910 to the grade of 5000-8000 in Jammu Division of CAPD.
Court order has been passed in a petition filed by Des Raj & others in which Adv SK Shukla appeared for the petitioners submitted that the Directorate of CAPD Kashmir upgraded 236 posts in the year 2008 whereas the employees of Jammu Division has approached for up-gradation but they are ignored till date. It is also alleged in the petition that this is clear cut discrimination with the employees of Jammu Division. ---JNF
