| Youth escapes from ultras' clutches | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 29: A youth abducted by militants from Dharamkote in Kalakote, Rajouri, Saturday night, escaped from their custody Sunday night and safely reached home today. At least six to seven militants were trapped by army troops at Dharamkote Saturday night. While two of them were shot dead by troops in a gunbattle, the others had managed to escape. While fleeing, they had abducted Chaman Lal alias Kalu and taken him as a guide. He reached home at Dharamkote today. He told police that as the militants kept walking the whole night on Saturday, they reached Gulabgarh in Udhampur Sunday. However, finding an opportunity, he gave them a slip at Gulabgarh and soon melted into darkness. He said though the militants tried to search for him, he ran fast and reached home without being caught by them. Police and security forces were trying to know from him the militants' descriptions and other allied details.
