| ASSCOMSH perform rare surgery | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 30: For the first time in Jammu in the department of Ortho-paedics,
ASCOMS & Hospital, Jammu conducted arthroscopic repair of anterior cruciate ligament .The surgery was performed by Dr Manish Singh (Assistant Professor). The anterior cruciate is the most important ligament in the knee for the stability of the joint. The surgery was performed on a young patient who suffered knee trauma a year back.
There was no donor site morbidity and the patient was discharged after two days as this surgery performed through small holes and only few stitches were applied for early and smooth recovery of the wound.
