| Jugal reviews pace of rural works of Pulwama district | | | Srinagar, October 13-Minister for Rural Development and Panchayati Raj Mr. Jugal Kishore has said that government is committed to development of all the rural areas of three regions of the state and various schemes have been launched in this regard. He said good governance, corruption free society and improved work culture is the endeavour of the government and all of us have to contribute tirelessly to realize this dream. The Minister was chairing a review meeting of Rural Development Department in Pulwama district today. Minister of state for Rural Development Mr. Javaid Mustafa Mir, MLA Shopian Mr. Ghulam Hassan Khan, Secretary Rural Development Mr. Mohammad Sayeed, District Development Commissioner Pulwama, Mr. Mehraj Ahmad Kakroo, Director Rural Development Mr. Mushtaq Ahmad Bukhari, Director Rural Sanitation Mr. Shabir Khan and other officers were present in the meeting. The meeting was informed that work on six model villages in the district is in full swing which are coming up at a cost of Rs. 1.20 crore each and facilities like children park, play ground, common facility centre, community information centre, upgradation of lanes and drains, passenger sheds, interior link roads, solar lights, shopping complex are being created in these model villages. Against the released amount of Rs. 1.80 crore Rs. 87.16 lakh stand utilized so far under this scheme. |
