| SVGI launches scholarship schemes | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 30: To search the meritorious and talented youth from Jammu, the Swami Vivekananda Group of Institutes (SVGI) launched its scholarships schemes here today. Addressing the media persons, Pooja Mittal, spokesperson of the group, announced the Swami Vivekananda scholarship schemes for the courses of MBA, MCA, BBA, BCA and B Pharmcy for single child girl, weaker sections, sports quota and handicapped students, with minimum 50 percent in Graduation or 10+2 from any recognized university/board. In addition, students having percentage more than 65 percent in graduation from any recognized university are eligible for partial current fee waiver in the PGDM course, which is a two year post Graduation Program in Management on the pattern of IIM with trimester system, approved by AICTE New Delhi. She further said that in order to harness the professional competence of human resources, world class education using state of the art technology. She informed that students from Jammu have brought laurels to their institutes and meritorious candidates have been awarded with cash prizes and Swami Vivekananda Scholarship award. Director, SVIET Dr Paramjit Singh counted the facilities and achievement of the institutions. Chairman of the group, Ashwani Garg said that the motto of SVIET is to educate the students to become job creators rather than job seekers. Principal Dr Sanjay Bajaj said that this group was committed for academic excellence and therefore has been organizing lot of seminars and conferences at national level.
