| No new tehsil announced | | Official spokesman clarifies misunderstanding | | Srinagar, October 13-An official spokesman today clarified that while interacting with various deputations at Kupwara, Chief Minister made no commitment regarding creation of any new tehsil in the Kupwara district.
Meanwhile, clarifying the misunderstanding among people in certain villages of Langate, Kralpora and Trehgam, Deputy Commissioner Kupwara Mr. A. M. Khanday in a communication to Director Radio Kashmir Srinagar with regard to news on the subject, has said that no announcement of creation of any new tehsil by the Chief Minister has been made during his public hearing at Kupwara.
He said that broadcasting by Radio Kashmir Srinagar and carrying of some unauthenticated report by one or two local papers has been the cause of misunderstanding. He added that all leading papers have reported the facts correctly. |
