| Ex-Medical Superintendent penalized | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Mar 31: Acco-untant General Jammu and Kashmir has penalized the former Medical Superi-ntendent of Government Gandhi Nagar Hospital, Dr Vinod Gupta for withdrawing excessive amount of Rs 60, 371 as increments and bills. Sources said that Gupta, who had retired from the department in the month of February 2010, had drawn Rs 60,371 as excessive bills during his tenure last year. Sources further said that the Accountant General J&K, after finding irregularities in the official accounts, had served a warning to the doctor asking him to surrender the amount before the Department. "The doctor deposited the said amount in the treasury on March 15, 2010 having boucher number 2 and medical account head number 2210," sources maintained. The cashier of the hospital has also been found guilty and penalized by the Accountant General J&K for his "involvement".
