| Misfortune of 'Eunuch' staged at Sehgal hall | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Mar 31: The first ever play based on the misfortune of 'Eunuch' was staged by Samooh theatre at KL Sehgal here today. The play depicted the tragedy of "Eunuch" who search his/her identity and the circumstances does not allow him to live with dignity and grace in the society of so called human. The movement when he born the father becomes unhappy and grief as the baby is neither male nor female but in the contrary, the mother brought her up with love and affection. The mother does not show her identity to others and she disclose her identity as girl in view of her mannerism. The girl has not to be remain as child and when she grow older she was snatched by the third sex's group and ultimately reaches her destiny. She earn her livelihood by dancing as she adapted the profession of "Eunuch", one day the head of "Eunuch" is died who used to love her a lot. This incident gave a new turn to her life as she walk away and becomes a beggar. Before that she does a job as a servant in the metropolitan the family gets emotionally attached to her. She get anxious that if they know her identity they will be very grief and shocked, hence, she decided to run away. On the occasion Zaffar Iqbal Manhas Secy. J&K Academy of Art, Culture and Languages was the chief guest while GM Qureshi vice chairman JDA presided over.
