EARLY TIMES REPORT
JAMMU, Mar 31: All the four militants gunned down by security forces Tuesday in an encounter in Rajouri were Pak nationals.
Their identity was established on the basis of a diary recovered from them as Abu Zarar, Abu Abdullah, Abu Shoaib and Abu Osama, all residents of Pakistan, according to police sources.
Sources said packets of food items recovered from them also carried 'Made in Pakistan' marks on them.
It was suspected that they came in groups from Pakistan and later split in three teams as three encounters were witnessed in Rajouri district in the last 48 hours.
Four militants and three security personnel were killed Tuesday in the exchange of fire in Rajouri district that lasted nearly 12 hours.
The second encounter that took place at Dharamshal came to an end with terrorists fleeing back to the Pakistani side of the LoC. A police officer was injured in this gunbattle.
