| Teacher arrested for allegedly raping student | | | Early Times Report
JAMMU: A government school teacher was Wednesday arrested by police for allegedly outraging the modesty of a 12th class student inside school premises at Jakhed in Ramnagar, Udhampur.
Police sources said Noor Mohammad, a teacher in Government Higher Secondary School, Jakhed, allegedly raped a 12th class student inside the school premises.
After the matter came to their notice, cops rushed to the school and took the accused in their custody. The victim was sent to hospital for medical examination. She hails from Jakhed.
Agitated over the incident, locals held a demonstration against the teacher for his alleged act.
