| Eye Camp Under Op Sadbhavana organized at village Ghordi | | | Sarita Jamwal Early Times Report Udhampur, Mar 31: A medical and an eye camp was organized by the Indian Army at Village Ghordi in which large number of patients who had cataract were identified. A total of 70 patients were asked to come to attend Command Hospital Northern Command at Udhampur and were operated using art surgery technique of phaco-emulsification and provision of intra ocular lens implants by Col, TS Ahluwalia, and his team of doctors. All the patients showed uneventful recovery from their surgery and are immensely benefited with renewed vision. All surgeries were performed free of cost. Patients were provided with free spectacles. Chief of Staff, Northern Command Lt Gen Jasbir Singh was the chief guest and interacted with the beneficiaries at the time of distribution of spectacles. All of them were immensely grateful to the Army for this gesture which has brought new light in their lives, something which they had never imagined could happen to them in their life time.
