| RTO realizes Rs. 2.76 lakh for traffic violation | | | JAMMU, JULY 24- Regional Transport Officer, Jammu Mr. S. C. Sawhney alongwith Motor Vehicle Inspectors Mr. Mohd Saleem and Rattan Singh conducted a surprise checking on National Highway at Samba and other places yesterday.
During the course of checking about 217 vehicles were checked, out of which 118 vehicles were compounded and an amount of Rs. 2.76 lakh was realized as compound money for different violations of Motor Vehicle Act. Besides, eight vehicles were challaned and their documents were retained in the office.
Mr. Sawhney directed the transport operators to operate their vehicles on road with proper and valid documents.
