Jammu: Grenade is aloo , explosive is atta and American President George Bush is Khanzir (evil) in network centric communication in Jammu and Kashmir, with militants having authored a terror lexicon to fox security forces with its coded idiolect.
"Over 1000-1200 code words are part of militant's terror dictionary for their usages in conversations through network centric communication inside the state and from neighbouring Pakistan for foxing forces," senior army officials said.
The focus of this terror lexicon is safe and secure conversation, they said. Security forces and intelligence agencies, however, have managed to decode most of the code words. The lexicon is getting updated every time with new phraseology, vocabulary and jargons.
Terrorists idiolect uses Khanzir (evil) to name George Bush and 11/9 for USA. In militants' idiolect pika gun is termed as raja (king), machine gun as rani (queen), gun as shaadi (marriage), AK rifle as biwi (wife) and pistol as munna .
Similarly, in the case of explosives, terror lexicon names RDX as milk powder, improvised explosive device (IED) as zameen dooz (underground) and rockets as udan gajar (flying carrots).
"All the troops posted in counter-insurgency areas and forward defence locations along the line of control are keeping a ready ‘militants’ dictionary’ to understand the intercepts of militants' conversation, officials said.
The idiolect terms infiltration as baraat (marriage party), killing as mike and alvida , arrest as 'catch', line clear as leama papa , road as dariya (river), receive as 'romeo' and meeting as mukka besides crossing the LoC in the night as layal .
Similarly the Pakistan army is called as jin , foreign mercenary as mehman (guest), the Indian Army as latu pattu , militant as akwah , senior militant commander as buzarg , martyr as shera , helicopter as parinda and informer as faloose .
While militant dictionary has named PoK's capital Muzaffarabad as mike papa , Poonch as papa LoC , Rajouri as romeo LoC , Kashmir as jungal , Bin Laden as mashal-e-din (light of Islam), Afghanistan as kabar (grave), and Pakistan as tarisgah (school), it said. |
