| Bring uniformity in education system: Tar Singh | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 1: Reforms in Education policy and introduction of free education to the students in the age group of 6-14 years announced by, Manmohan Singh, Prime Minister of India is not enough as nowadays tiny tots go to school at the age of 3 plus and its their right to have free education and this policy should be extended to the children of 18 years too said Janata Dal (U) state president, Inder Mohinder Tar Singh here today. He said that the Govt. of India must bring in uniform education system which is the need of the hour and there should be equality in education system. Teachers in Govt. Schools do not impart their duties in rightful manner and they remain absent from duty and treat young students as their slaves. They are forced to do household work in rural and far flung areas and in this context State Govt. should take responsibility to look into the matter urged Tar Singh. Government has to take serious measures to check malpractices among school teachers and other staff in education department. The guilty teachers and staff should be punished appropriately.
