| Problems facing migrant KP’s discussed at ASKPC meet | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 1: The executive members of All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) in a meeting discussed the major problems facing displaced Kashmiri pandit. Pt. AN Vaishnavi, president ASKPC who chaired the meeting pointed out the failure of both state and central government in mitigating the problems of hapless KP’s. He said no attention is being paid towards the community. On the occasion HL Chatta said that the properties of KP religious places in Kashmir like temples, Hill-Locks, cremation ground etc at various places have been encroached/ grabbed by some anti-social elements. He said that such problem has created due to non approval of the long pending temples/ shrines bill by with the government. He also pointed out that the government is constructing stadium, health centres, bus stands, schools etc at these places. Manmohan Koul, Secy. Of the organization demanded age relaxation bar of KP un-employed youths and grant of one time stipend of Rs 25 lakh in favour of those KP youths who have crossed the age of 43 years and are still unemployed. At the conclusion of the meeting it was unanimously decided in the meeting to demonstrate at Panjtirthi chowk on April 3,2010 at 10 am for not solving burning demands of the displaced community so far.
