| Workshop on ‘education and social change’ conclude | | | Early Times Report Samba, Apr 1: A two day workshop on ‘education and social change’, organized by NSS unit of government degree college, in collaboration with IQAC conclude here today. Sr. Suprintendent of police of the district, Raghubir Singh who was the chief guest on the occasion, appreciated the efforts of the principal and students organizing such programmes in the college. Principal of the college, Dr Ajeet Angral on the occasion gave details of the series of programmes being organized by the college. He assured the participants that once college shift to new campus at Mansar Morh, more such activities will be organized in a most professional way so that students from this college at national and international level. BR Sharma former NSS Programme officer was the resource person in the first technical session. He explained at length how the NSS volunteers can play an important role through the process of education in changing the mindset of the people for facing the global competition by keeping our tradition and values intact. In a second technical session Vikas, an expert in the computer application along with his team member Pardeep Singh involved the students in the use of e-learning process. The students Kusum and Suman shared their views about the different activities undertaken during the two days workshop. Earlier, Prof. Preeti Mahajan, Incharge IQAC explained about the significance of organizing such workshops. The programme was compared by Prof. Anupama Kumari, NSS programme officer and vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Paramjit Singh.
