| PRDB against fundamental rights of women: Ashok | | | Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 1: Describing the permanent residence certificate (PRC) disqualification (PRDB) bill as anti-women and against the fundamental rights, the president, foundation for peace and social justice and former legislator, Ashok Kumar has said that repeated attempts to initiate such moves are unfortunate. In a statement issued here today, Sharma appealed all the political parties to rise above political considerations and do not take up this bill for consideration. He said that some years ago also a big controversy had arisen over such a bill which creates a wedge among people. He said that when on one hand a bill has recently been passed by the Rajya Sabha providing 33 percent political reservation to women and on the other hand an attempt is being made in J&K state to snatch the fundamental rights of the daughters of the state marrying outside J&K is uncalled for and unfortunate.
