Early Times Report Jammu, Apr 2: Minister for Medical Education, Technical Education and Youth Services & Sports, Mr. R.S. Chib, today visited Govt. Indira Gandhi Dental College, Jammu and conducted inspection of Administrative Block, Library, Auditorium, Classrooms, and Boys Hostel. The Minister also inspected the site for construction of new Hospital complex, for which, an amount of Rs. 6.23 crore have already been released and the land has been acquired from the JAKFED. He directed R&B authorities to demolish the existing godown of JAKFED so that construction of new Hospital Complex is started by 2nd week of May this year. Chib also took stock the construction work of attendants Sarai, which has been executed by Police Housing Corporation at an estimated cost of Rs. 3.23 crore is nearing completion and would be dedicated to the public shortly. The Sarai will provide shelter to about 316 attendants of far-flung areas accompanying the patients. Chib, also inspected under construction Guest House of Govt. Medical College, Jammu coming up at an estimated cost of Rs. 2.12 crore. The Minister was accompanied by Principal, Govt. Medical College/Dental College, Jammu, Dr. Rajinder Singh, MD Police Housing Corporation, Mr. Ravinder Kotwal, and Faculty Members of Dental College/Medical College, Jammu and representatives of JKPCC and R&B Department.
