| Bhalla inaugurates website launched by NITT | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT Jammu, Apr 2: Grand function was held at National Institute for Technical Trainings (NITT), Gandhi Nagar, which was presided over by A.N. Vaishanavi Chairman, Amar Balidan Trust. Raman Bhalla, Minister for Revenue, Relief & Relibiltation was chief guest. Guest of honour were Vijay Bakaya MLC, Vinod Koul (IAS) Relief Commissioner, M.K.Dewavidi (IAS) Deputy Commissioner, & Saleema Bano (KAS), Chief Executive officer JUDA. H.L.Chatta & the staff of NITT Presented Bouquets to the Chief Guest & the guests. Sanjay Kaloo, Rakesh Trakroo & Vijay Sahani honoured the guests. Minister lunched the website of NITT (www.nitt.in) in which various schemes has been launched for Job oriented courses from DOEACC, Ministry of Communications & Information, Govt. of India as well as services to the youth both in and out side the state. Minister also distributed free books to the students sponsored by J&K Govt. to the institute under various schemes. NITT also celebrated its silver jubilee on completion of 10 years in the field of Technical Education in collaboration with National Institute of Open Schooling (NIOS), National Council for Promotion of Urdu Language (NCPUL) under MHRD, Govt. of India. Chief Guest lauded role of NITT in providing technical education under different job oriented courses conducted by Govt. of India for the welfare of unemployed youths. H.L.Chatta requested the Chief Guest to provide land so that the institute may be converted into College.
