The maximum temperature in the summer capital of the state was 17 degrees celsius which is normal during this part of the season. Pahalgam hill resort witnessed coldest night in the state as the mercury plunged to 0.2 degree celsius. However, the day was pleasant with a maximum of 14.8 degrees celsius. The night temperature also fell in rest of the valley with Qazigund recording a minimum of 2.6 followed by Kokernag (3.6) and Kupwara (5.4).
