| Enhancement of cash assistance cruel joke with KP's: Panun Kashmir | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 3: The enhancement of Rs 250 per person in favour of displaced Kashmiri pundits (KP's) has been termed as a cruel joke with this hapless community. Dr Agnishekhar senior leader of Panun Kashmir (PK) in a political affairs committee meeting expressed deep shock and surprise over the continued discriminatory attitude with the pandit community both by state and centre government and said cash assistance is nothing, keeping in view the present price index and market trend. He said one fails to understand as how and on what ground centre government conceded to such irrational recommendations Omar Abdullah led coalition government He said that Panun Kashmir has decided to organise a public rally tomarrow at Muthi Phase-I at 10 a.m. to lodge a strong protest against the state govt. attitude Panun Kashmir has been frequently demanding the reasonable enhancement from Rs 4000/= to Rs 12000/= per family per month at all public and govt. for a. He urges the state and union govts. to reconsider their decision and approve the public demand of the enhancement from Rs.4000/= to Rs.12000/= per family enabling these hapless people to make two ends meet. Beside this Panun Kashmir also noted with utter dismay over the sudden withdrawal of Income Tax Deferment causing distress to the displaced state government employees. lt's irony when thousands of crores of rupees are been demanded by the same state government for rehabilitations of thousands of terrorists from across LOC, stone-pelters, victims and so called Human Right Voilations in the Kashmir Valley, a cold shoulder is being shown to the real victims of terrorism languishing in exile.
