| Police recruits of Bhaderwah, Inderwal without appointment orders protest | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT JAMMU, Apr 3: Youth of Bhaderwah and Inderwal constituency who were recruited in J&K Police in 2007 today held protest demonstration outside Press Club, Jammu. Led by MLC Naresh Kumar Gupta, large number of youth assembled to stage a demonstration seeking immediate attention of Govt in support of their demand of appointment orders. Holding placards depicting their demand, youth took out rally towards Civil Secretariat to apprise Govt about their plight. However, Police restrained protesting youth of Bhaderwah and Inderwal and used mild force to quell their march towards Civil Secretariat. Naresh Kumar said that their selection has been made in JK Police in December 2007 as a special recruitment drive conducted during the tenure of then Chief Minister, Ghulam Nabi Azad, but the appointment orders have not been issued by the department so far. He said that it's a matter of career of youth of Bhaderwah and Inderwal constituency and assured that he will raise this issue in the Legislative Council for seeking immediate attention of the Govt. He sought Chief Minister's intervention in the matter and demanded early issuance of formal appointment orders as number of them have crossed the age limit fixed for the appointment in Government service. The 25 disengaged workers of Sartingal Power House of Bhaderwah were also protested in supported of their demands of re-instatement and regularization.
