Udhampur, Mar 3: To take stock of problems being faced by the police personnel, the Deputy Inspector General of Police, Udhampur-Reasi Range, Mr. Gulzar Singh Slathia alongwith Senior Superintendent of Police ,Udhampur, Mr. Surinder Gupta held an open darbar at District Police Lines, Udhampur last evening.
During the darbar, the DIG impressed upon the police officials to update their professional skills and collection of relevant intelligence in order to deal effectively with the serious challenges of law and order and agile in foiling the attempt of the ANEs.. Slathia stressed upon them to serve with more dedication and missionary zeal so as to win the confidence of the common masses. He also issued necessary guidelines and instructions to the Police personnel in discharge of their duties
Some police officials apprised the DIG about their problems and requirements for which DIG assured them that their genuine demands would be taken up with the concerned quarters for sympathetic and favourable consideration.
Speaking on the occasion, the SSP Udhampur assured that the Udhampur police would whole heartedly combat the crime and effectively deal in law and order problems. He briefed the jawans to make all possible efforts in improving their quality of policing and prepare themselves for any eventuality.
To encourage the officers and officials of Udhampur Police, the DIG distributed the suitable rewards and certificates on spot for their commendable job in crime detection and law and order.
