| Assurances by MHA false, enhance cash relief to Rs 8000 | | | EARLY TIMES REPORT jammu, Apr 3: All State Kashmiri Pandit Conference (ASKPC) held protest outside Governor House to press the demands of the displaced community particularly encroachment and dilapidated condition of Shrines in Valley. A.N Vaishnavi, President said that the demands raised in the Apex Committee before the Home Minister were patiently heard and a sort of assurance given which all proved false and dejected and dashed their hopes. He demanded that relief should be enhanced to Rs 8000 per month in this price hike. H.L Chatta General Secretary said that government is hell-bent to torture the displaced and helpless Pandits which is a crystal clear from the government plans to deprive them from HRA and CCA which the Apex Court have decreed in their favour but the government is not in a mood to release it. Tax deferment has not been made though the migrant employees are still in a bad shape and deserve to be considered favourably. 'The passage of the Shrine and Temples Bill to save the remains of our culture, religious, heritage could not see the light of the day', said Vinod Pandit, ASKPC leader. R K Raina senior vice president said that PM's package for employment for educated KP youth is being hatched for last two years now and rules are changed to discourage the educated youth by putting conditions and barricade thereupon. He further said 'the youth of the community have been discriminated by the successive governments and deprived of the chances of employment for all these years, so they have crossed the age limit'.
